The white sand beaches an overall length of more than 18 km constitute the principal tourist attraction of Varadero, which receives each year of the hundreds of thousands of tourists. The development of tourist industry with the passing of years radically changed the urban landscape of Varadero.
Located on the peninsula of Hicacos, in the province of Matanzas, Varadero is long and thin strip of land which advances in the sea. Ideal for the bathe and the water sports, the sea is always hot, the average temperature of Varadero being of 25°C. Be carreful with the prohibited bathes some days of winter… indeed at the time of strong the winds, it is impossible to bathe!
