Le François is located on the Atlantic coast of the island, 22 km from Fort-de-France. Le François is known for its islets and its funds (white sandy shoal located at sea also called Josephine Bath) protected by a coral reef.

The sandy shoal located at sea are a particular attraction and took their name from the Empress Josephine who liked, say, swimming. Beware of tourist traps or you find 200 peoples on 100 square meters of sand ... Try to rent a catamaran (80 euros / day / person).
