Le Carbet is located between Fort-de-France and Saint-Pierre on the Caribbean coast. In 1502, Le Carbet was the landing place on the island of Christopher Columbus. Not very beautiful beach at Carbet. You must go to Anse Turin (1.5 km north of Carbet) to find a good beach with black sand. The only problem: it is next to the roadside (big truck traffic between the quarries in northern and southern sites). |
