This small village, perched at the foot of the peaks of Carbet is a retreat from the north Caribbean Fort-de-France - Saint-Pierre. Switzerland Caribbean, (one of his wards is also 'the Township Switzerland') it offers majestic mountains covered with tropical forests overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Many hikes to the scenic charms of the rainforest, source of Carbet peaks and magnificent views from the peaks of the Piton Lacroix.
The cooler temperatures on the coast preserve the place of mosquitoes. Many lodges offer passenger stops where one can enjoy the sweet nights to rest, 15 minutes from the beaches of black sand of Carbet.
