It is a city extremely relax. Located at 600 km in the north of Bangkok, it is surrounded by luxuriant valleys or one can make excursions, raft in rafts of bamboos and even of the ballades with back of elephant!
It is advised to visit this city at the end of the stay because it is in this city or it is possible all to buy at very handsome price (tee-shirt memory, Asian dressing gown, shoes, scarf out of silk, etc…).
We placed with the hotel Diamond Riverside Hôtel with 14 euros the double room. It is a hotel (with swimming pool) reserved to the tourists, without particular charm. One you council rather to go to throw an eye in lonely planet or guides it of routard to find something of more typical (and of cheaper)!
We left Chiang Maï after 4 days of visit per bus VIP of night (18 places, 16 girls and us two… more one splendid hostess to serve the dinner to us!)
