The mount Tai or Tai Shan, located in Shandong, Mont of the East (alt.max.1545m) is in the past recognized of the five mountains; it keeps of it the title of First mountain of the known world.
It is on Tai Shan that Qin Shi Huang carried out the ceremonies with the Sky and the Earth marking its advent. We find there the oldest vestige religious of the five mountains, a temple dedicated to the mount whose foundation goes up in Han Occidentaux. Taishan is registered with the world inheritance of UNESCO since May 1987.
