Qingdao is a harbour city of the South-east of the province of Shandong. It appears among the most developed cities area of China of the East. The district of Qingdao extends on a surface from 106.540 km ² with a population from 7.311.200 inhabitants. Qingdao is located in moderate zone. In edge of sea, the city receives the direct influence of the marine currents and monsoon. The air is wet, the temperatures are soft with four distinct seasons. In spring the temperatures progress slowly; in summer it rains much and the climate is wet; in autumn the climate is soft; in winter the wind blows the temperature extremely drops but there is not great cold.
At the edge of the sea of Huanghai and with the foot of the chain of the Laoshan mountains, the town of QingDao occupies an ideal geographical position. Thanks to its very soft climate and to its particular architecture of European style, it carries the nickname of 'small Switzerland Orientale'. Surrounded by mountains, dealing with the sea, Qingdao combines tradition and modernity. The west of the city contains the buildings of European architecture and the paved lanes, the West has the modern buildings of a company which develops quickly.
