The official language is Thai. The use of English is largely spread, mainly in the establishments with vocation touristique.

Known formerly under the name of Siam, Thailand is a crossroads of people, cultures and religions, the principal one being Bouddhisme.

We left on December 24, 2000 for 3 weeks: Germain & Christophe of Paris CDG.

Why Thailand? The principal reason was to return visit with the brother of Germain, who lives in Chiang Maï, second city of the country all in the north of Thaïlande.

The second reason was the cold in France then why not to go to spend 3 weeks to the sun?

We travelled with the company Thai Airways (700 euros A/R to the time) to make Paris CDG - Bangkok - Chiang Maï.

Thailand is a marvellous country or it is good to spend its holidays. This country has unfortunately bad reputation because of some sites like Pataya, Patong, some districts of Bangkok and others or the prostitution strongly prevails. Free with you of going in these places or not! We think that Thailand is better than that!
